NEGATIVE SPEED FORCE GENERATION
Originally a conduit of the positive Speed Force, Eobard used his power to create his own negative Speed Force. Eobard can tap into it as other speedsters can with the normal Speed Force. Through this, he has the ability to move at incredible speeds, as well as access other abilities the normal Speed Force does not grant.

HISTORIOGRAPHY
(While my Professor Zoom is from Pre-Crisis, Post-Crisis, Pre-New 52, and Joshua Williamson’s run of The Flash, I have something that I believe wouldn’t be above Eobard, which is underlined below.)Professor Zoom is very knowledgeable on Flash history, as well as world history and culture, spanning from the Flash's 21st century all the way to the first civilization.
COSMIC AWARENESS
Professor Zoom is capable of sensing when a person is from a parallel earth, as well as sensing changes to the timeline.He was able to "feel" the presence of Doctor Manhattan, "like a wave of static electricity", and was aware of his alterations to time and reality, despite no one else having knowledge of this at the time.
DIMENSIONAL TRAVEL
Professor Zoom is able to travel in and out of the timestream, allowing him to travel to other planes of reality. He is also able to travel in and out of the Negative Speed Force.He is capable of forcefully causing people to travel into his Negative Speed Force dimension. He is seemingly able to also travel here at will.Like Barry Allen, he is also able to travel to different Earths.
HYPNOSIS
Thawne can speak at a hypnotic frequency that can push and pull others to do things they would never do, by creating doubt in their minds. He has used this ability to manipulate the Flashes on multiple instances.
POSSESSION
By vibrating at the right frequency, Thawne can possess the bodies of others. By doing this, he was able to merge himself with Barry Allen and possess his body.
ENHANCED SENSES
Professor Zoom's senses are enhanced, allowing him to perceive the world at a normal, or extremely slowed rate attuned to how fast he is moving. It also allows him to see what normal people would perceive as a blur as perfectly normal figures.
SPEED-THINKING
By thinking at incredible speeds, Eobard can devise various plans at a moment’s notice, outsmart opponents, process information around him all at the same time, and perceive events.This includes the famous panel of Barry mentioning, “I can think at the speed of light. I can perceive events that last for less than an attosecond. I can run faster than time. What do I see when I run across the country, Superman? I see everything. And everyone.”But because of his new speed (which you can find out more about if you scroll further), Eobard is able to speed-think at far faster speeds.
INTANGIBILITY & PHASING
Professor Zoom can vibrate his cells on a molecular level, causing his body to become intangible. This allows people or objects to pass through him. In turn, by vibrating his molecules, he is able to phase his body through objects. This leads us to following sub-ability:• Molecular Destabilization: By vibrating at the right frequency, Professor Zoom can destabilize an individual’s entire molecular structure.
ELECTRO-BLAST
Thawne can project powerful arcs and blasts of his Negative Speed Force lightning.
ELECTROMAGNETISM
Thawne possesses some level of magnetic manipulation, which he uses to control his suit's armor. Every time he releases his suit from his ring, the pieces of it are conducted by his lightning to form the suit around him.
ELECTROKINESIS
Like conduits of the Speed Force, Professor Zoom also generates large amounts of electrical energy from his body, although his energy is negative in nature, which is cancerous to users of the Speed Force.Thawne is also able to generate and manipulate the electrical energy that he draws from the Negative Speed Force. This lightning emanates off of him as red electrical arcs from all around his body, and from his eyes as streaks, especially when he moves at super speed. His lightning can interfere with, and fry electronics.
SPEED FORCE NEGATION
Professor Zoom can disrupt speedsters’ connection to the Speed Force by "contaminating" it with the negative energy he generates. This allows him to remove aspects of their powers, such as their protective aura, causing them to burst into flames.
NEGATIVE SPEED FORCE AURA
Professor Zoom’s Negative Speed Force aura protects him from the harsh effects of traveling at immense speeds. His aura is also capable of disintegrating bullets.
INFECTION
Thawne can infect users of the Speed Force and cause them to generate his negative energy, which can kill a Speed Force conduit with a single touch.An infection also occurs when someone connected to the positive Speed Force tries to steal/drain Professor Zoom’s speed.
LIFE-FORCE ABSORPTION
Thawne can use his negative energy to rapidly drain a person's life-force, by creating an electrical field around their head and focusing it with his hands.
MEMORY ABSORPTION
Professor Zoom is capable of using his negative electrical energy to absorb the memories of another person. This process will also rapidly age a person to their death.
METAMORPHOSIS
Professor Zoom can alter his own age at will, such as transforming into a young boy or an elderly man.
SONIC SHOCKWAVE PROJECTION
Professor Zoom possess the ability to create very powerful sonic booms and shock waves with just the snap of his fingers or by clapping his hands. This is an ability that he learned from Hunter Zolomon.
TIME TRAVEL
By maintaining a certain vibration, Professor Zoom can access his power source and time travel. He is able to do so with precision and without the need of a Cosmic Treadmill.Because of the Negative Speed Force and him being a living paradox, Professor Zoom can alter the timeline to his own needs without consequences, as well as pull people from different points in time and erase them from existence by touching them or physically going to the past and changing it.He is the master of time travel and time manipulation.
PARADOXICAL EXISTENCE
In a previous incarnation, Thawne was transformed into a living paradox when Barry Allen created the Flashpoint timeline, as he was running through the timestream when this happened. This makes Thawne (even in the current version of reality) immune to alterations to his personal history, making him the sole constant in any possible timeline and thus impossible to erase him from existence.
GENIUS-LEVEL INTELLECT
Thawne's brilliant mind led him to use his speed dangerously. Eobard has also shown to have supreme intelligence about the Speed Force/Negative Speed Force, and can manipulate it effectively to his will. His understanding of the Speed Force is so great that he considers Wally West's power to generate costumes through the Speed Force a novice ability.He is an expert in Quantum Mechanics, Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering.
EOBARD THAWNE
THE VARIANT
From the 25th century, Eobard Thawne was an only child when his parents were killed in an accident by his true, alternate self. In his loneliness, he became obsessed with the Flash, Barry Allen, a heroic speedster from the 21st century. Eobard would dedicate his life to studying the Flash and researching his power source, the Speed Force. During his adulthood, Thawne received a time capsule by his same alternate self containing the Flash's costume, from which he harnessed residual traces of the Speed Force to give himself access to its powers. Dissatisfied, Thawne sought to also become a hero like the Flash. However, due to the lack of opportunities for heroics in the future, Thawne instead created his own by endangering and then "saving" people to make himself look a hero.Thawne was awestruck when Barry arrived in his time and taught him new ways to use his powers, with the two also bonding over their shared belief that "every second is a gift". Unfortunately for Eobard, Barry became aware of the truth behind his "heroics", and would turn him in to the authorities after defeating the rogue speedster. Desperate to prove himself to his hero, Thawne vowed to better himself. In prison, he underwent electroshock therapy and shared his knowledge with other inmates. He convinced the authorities that society would from him educating others as a professor instead of being behind bars, and worked hard from being a tour guide at the Flash Museum to becoming its curator, considering the museum his own.Wanting to show Barry his rehabilitation and to be accepted again by his "best friend", Thawne traveled back in time to the 21st Century. Deeming it arrogant to think he was ready to become the Flash, he changed his costume to yellow, because it was the color that all the hero's partners wore. However, after witnessing Barry give Wally West a watch with the same advice he gave Eobard years ago inscribed, an enraged Thawne realized that he wasn't as special to Barry as he thought. Running back to the 25th Century, to the Flash Museum, it was there that Thawne realized his destiny. Creating his own "negative" version of the Speed Force and switching his emblem, Thawne became the Reverse-Flash. Believing that tormenting Barry is the only time that Barry will spend with him, Thawne made it his life's mission to ensure that the Flash lived in pain like he did, until his idol learned to treat him specially and see him as his "real" friend.From then on, he’s been protected from every timeline change by the other Eobard ever since his “ascension,” making him the sole reason for why his variant’s parents were killed and how he received the time capsule.
